(English: Lava lamp) is also called wax lamp. The name derives from the slow flow of wax droplets of indefinite shape, which is reminiscent of the flow of lava. Lava lamps come in many shapes and colors.
The physical principle of the lava lamp is very simple, consisting of a base and a sealed glass bottle. The base was originally a heating wire, but now it is changed to a higher-power bulb or LED. The sealed glass bottle is made of borosilicate glass with a transparent liquid and a translucent wax.
The density of wax at room temperature is slightly higher than that of liquid, but after heating it is slightly lower than that of liquid. After energizing, the bulb in the base heats and seals the glass bottle and transfers the heat to the wax block. The wax block in the bottle melts and floats to the surface. As it gradually cools, it sinks to the bottom of the bottle, creating a dynamic light and shadow effect over and over again.
